The Conquest Theatre is a small venue (150 seats) based in a rural market town in Herefordshire and run by volunteers. The very nature of a rural area means that the patrons of the theatre are spread out over a wide distance and popping in to the theatre to buy tickets isn't always convenient or possible. The solution? An affordable bespoke online booking system. The theatre benefits enormously by having an online booking system. No agents fees to pay! The whole site was created by Whetstone, is hosted by us and we continue to maintain and develop it. For a small venue the website gets a lot of visitors.
Information Britain is a huge database driven site boasting in excess of 80,000 entries and many, many pages of information about Britain (there's a surprise!). We've been developing this site on behalf of the owner for years now and have seen a massive increase in productivity. Take a few moments to look at the sheer scale and diversity of this website. If you were to get lost in here without useful links to get you home again it could be days before you were found and rescued! Navigation is the key to making this site a useful resource. This business is very competitive so search engine results are extremely important to the succcess of this site. Luckily, Search Engine Optimisation is one of our specialities.
Getting married? This is another site on our list and one that the owner is constantly asking us to develop and change in order to provide a better service. As with 'Information Britain' we can usually provide a solution to any request (and we get a lot!) This is a great example of a site dedicated to a particular purpose, but incorporating many elements within that. As you would expect from any of the top class wedding venues it advertises, the website has to look good and deliver the goods.
This Estate Agent's site is packed full of information that is constantly in need of updating and changing. The site we have designed includes a content management system, allowing the owners to access their database to add new properties, information and pictures and delete properties when sold etc. We can design edit pages to suit your needs as we realise that many businesses need to have direct access to the content of their website without having to pay us to do it for them. Visitors to the site can log on and save their preferences when searching for properties - anything is possible! This site looks attractive as well, reflecting the beautiful Cotswold area it serves.
A small B&B site. Looks lovely, works like a dream and you won't get lost! Pages are easy to add to this sort of site, so owners can easily afford to develop their online presence as they wish. Many of our clients start out with a few pages and gradually add more as they expand their business. Sometimes they just think of new and interesting information to share with potential clients. Once the design is there, additional pages are easy.
A striking site for an unusual and fantastic looking B&B just inside the Welsh border. We believe that spending time getting the initial concept just right is important. The large, atmospheric pictures on this site are perfect for illustrating the stunning interior. We can pop along and take pictures for you if photography isn't your thing (distance allowing!)
